| Ask the Experts a Question about circulating pump. | |
|
I just moved into a rental house and the previous tenant missed taking a few of the goldfish with her. I didn't realize they were there for a month. I bought food, but it doesn't look like they are eating it. The water is green and murky. I have a small pump circulating the water but it has no filter. Do I need one? Do I need to put plants in the water? How about chemicals? I know nothing of fish!!

I had a circulating pump installed for my home as the hot water would take forever to reach further parts of the house. Its been a year and I have the same situation again. I remember being told by the plumber that I should turn the pump off if it gets too hot. Will that work? If not, do I need to get another one?
